Family Tree - Shmi Skywalker We can only speculate about Shmi's orginal homeworld. When we find her she is living on Tatoonie, but as a slave it is hard to find a place of true orgin. After Episde One, she is sold by Watto and ends up marrying Cliegg Lars, the widowed father of Owen Lars, and lives working on a moisture farm with her new family, of Cliegg, Owen and Owen's girlfriend Beru. As she is happy in this life her real son Anakin is never forgotton.
